We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Media Content Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate is obsessed with social media and has an online presence to prove it! 

We’re looking for someone who knows the ins and outs of the latest platform trends and who experiments with the latest features—a strong team player who is able to create engaging and innovative content.

The Content Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining client content calendars and schedules, social media strategy, analytics, trends, and audience growth. The Content Manager is savvy on all social platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube and is actively testing out the latest features available. The Content Manager reports into the Senior Strategist and will be working on a regular basis to address clients’ social media needs.This role reports to the Sr. Social Media Strategist and will work with that individual on a regular basis regarding content schedule, social strategy, analytics, trends, and audience growth. All applicants will be asked to provide relevant work examples from social media accounts.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the Senior Strategist to ensure you operate within the terms of your client contracts
  • Proactively identify new partners/influencers    
  • Shoot and design visually compelling video, static, and animated assets for social media feeds, using basic design apps like Cava and like Photoshop; while also leveraging outside creative resources as appropriate  
  • Spearhead and execute live-capture strategy and storytelling, both photo and video 
  • Ensure the appropriate tone of voice and clients’ brand aesthetic are being captured throughout social media copy and visuals 
  • Identify relevant UGC and integrate into calendars as appropriate  
  • Optimize and maintain company pages within each social media platform 
  • Stay in the know and be able to key in on real-time opportunities for engagement around happenings and trends in culture and the industry 
  • Identify on-brand influencers and propose partnership opportunities to the senior strategist for consideration  
  • Attend and participate in client-facing meetings to understand client goals and determine how to translate those goals into social media content ​​​​​​​
  • Drive community strategy and engagement; building relationships with audiences across digital channels through real-time engagement and content 
  • Oversee community management and make sure all direct messages, comments, questions and concerns are answered appropriately and in as real time as possible. 
  • Optimize social channels to increase follower growth and reach of social channels 
  • Compile reports showing results (ROI) on a consistent basis 
  • Gather metrics and create reports 
  • Maintain strong understanding of social advertising campaigns and support the advertising team to execute promoted post campaigns as needed 
  • Work closely with the Creative team to ensure social content is elevated and brand appropriate for each client 
  • Partner with creative and production teams on social shoots, from concept to postproduction 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a community or content manager, or creative and/or content production experience in a marketing and/or editorial setting 
  • Understanding and experience of the digital landscape and all social media channels
  • Skill in at least one, if not all, of these: design, photo-editing, video editing
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Ability to manage the implementation of a strategic campaign within the social media space
  • A natural storyteller and visual communicator
  • Adeptness in multitasking, prioritizing and staying organized while juggling multiple initiatives, deliverables, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Eagerness to continue to evolve skills in social-first content: mobile creator apps and in-app editing (e.g., IG Reels, Instagram stories, IGTV, etc.)
  • Passion for delighting clients and going above and beyond
  • Enthusiasm for digital innovation and creating high-quality, of-the-moment social content
  • Entrepreneurial spirit—capable of taking initiative and working quickly, efficiently, and strategically with a wide range of internal departments
