Provide code and analysis notebooks to engineering collaborators and collaborate on hosting/productionization. Conduct review of analyses of teammates. 

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development and execution of data analysis plans and hypotheses. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, collaboration, and communication skills.

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Development of Data Analysis Plans and Hypotheses
  • Assist in formulating data analysis plans by identifying key questions and hypotheses to be tested. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align these plans with broader project goals. 
• Collaboration with Engineering Teams: 
  • Clearly communicate expected data formats and requirements to engineering collaborators. 
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure data is collected, stored, and managed effectively for analysis. 
• Data Exploration and Visualization: 
  • Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights. 
  • Utilize advanced visualization techniques to represent data in an accessible and informative way. 
• Statistical Modeling and Hypothesis Evaluation: 
  • Develop robust statistical models to test hypotheses and extract actionable insights from complex datasets. 
  • Evaluate model performance and refine approaches based on statistical analysis and business requirements. 
• Presentation of Findings: 
  • Present findings to both internal and external stakeholders through informal presentations and formal written documentation when required. 
  • Translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations. 
• Collaboration on Hosting/Productionization: 
  • Provide code and analysis notebooks to engineering teams for implementation in production environments. 
  • Collaborate on the hosting and productionization of data models, ensuring they are scalable and reliable. 
• Peer Review and Quality Control: 
  • Conduct reviews of analyses performed by team members to ensure quality, accuracy, and relevance. 
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to peers to foster a collaborative and learning environment. 

Desired Qualifications: 

• Master’s in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
• Extensive experience in data science, with a strong background in statistical modeling and machine learning. 
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, and familiarity with data science toolkits. 
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques. 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
• Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with engineering teams and cross-functional groups.
