About the role:
Known’s Talent team is seeking a Manger, Talent who will support our Talent Management and Talent Acquisition teams. This position will sit in Known’s Los Angeles office and is expected to be in-office 4 days per week. The role will oversee Human Resources initiatives and related activities to ensure support of organizational and strategic goals among designated client groups.
The ideal candidate is someone who retains a breadth and depth of HR experience capable of unifying the organization, with the ability to adapt company-wide initiatives to the local market and drive individual, and team success through agile partnership.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Key administrator of human resources programs including performance management, succession planning, organizational development, learning and career development.
- Handles end-to-end employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors regarding complex and/or sensitive matters with a high degree of confidentiality
- Oversee progressive disciplinary process, including, but not limited to providing coaching, development of performance improvement plans, mediation, executing investigations, and terminations.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- As a business partner for your client groups, serve as a conduit for essential human resources programming eg. leading office hours for annual performance cycle, supporting wellness and cultural programs, workforce planning in the event of a Leave, et al.
- Development, implementation, execution and measurement of programs designed to support productivity, employee recognition, and team morale
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, awareness of Talent trends and recommended best practices; reviews processes and practices to maintain compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's degree required, concentration in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of human resource generalist experience required, including demonstrated experience in investigations, terminations, and performance management.
- Experience supporting creatives a strong preference
- HR Certification a plus.
- High EQ; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly autonomous; the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

The base salary for this position is $100K - $120K.
This range is posted in compliance with state and municipal Pay Transparency laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to receive additional Known benefits.
