As a Project Manager your main responsibility is to oversee the project execution from; Design review, detailing, fabrication, installation, and project close out. Knowledge of project management skills including scheduling, drawing submittals, change orders submittals, initiating RFI’s, budgeting of projects, submitting pay applications, project coordination and planning is entailed. Our company is AISC and AWS certified adhering to stringent guidelines, processes and procedures. It also requires extensive familiarity with IBC building code, SDI/ SJI standards and ASTM standards.
The Project Manager will coordinate with estimators for scope of work / schedule of values. The projects are managed and estimated through erection in Tekla PowerFab EPM and Procore. You are responsible for managing multiple projects of various sizes and levels of complexity. Attend all pre-job meetings / safety meetings / coordination meetings. The Project Manager leads our team to success as well as meeting scheduled deadlines effectively and responsibly.
Major Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate with estimator for scope of work / schedule of values
- Establish erection schedules
- Establish load lists and sequencing
- Attend all pre job meetings / safety meeting / coordination meetings
- Responsible for all estimated CORs for project after contract has been received
- Manage equipment needs for project (ie welders, small tools, crane, forklift, man lifts)
- Coordinate with job site supervisor prior to job start (go over scope, difficulties, thought process of erection)
- Create any necessary documentation for safety (crane pick plans, Erection/ safety plans)
- Responsible for reviewing design/ detailed drawings for erection aids, modification of connections for safety and savings, review and decide on completeness of any assembly’s and find any potential errors
- Responsible for any field measurements / on site necessities to get project moving forward
- Responsible for contact for projects
- Write, review, address any potential RFIs
- Responsible for billing percentage values and cost to complete values
- Responsible for managing any punch list items yet to complete
- Write weekly job report for all projects being worked on.
- Responsible for writing / reviewing all potential cost impacts via RFI/ time tickets / downtime etc
- Review job site schedule for manpower coordination alongside multiple other projects.
Summary of Experience and Education:
- Would like 5 years for structural steel erection experience
- Knowledge of Osha subpart R and M ; AISC erection standards ; IBC building code; SDI/ SJI standards
- Versatile with Microsoft outlook, project, excel, word, Tekla, adobe acrobat etc
- Osha 30 or 500

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
