Cloud Engineer

Sr. Systems Engineer (Full-Time/Remote)

 What You’ll Do Day to Day: 

• Working in tandem with our Engineering and Architecture teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company. 
• Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines. 
• Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required. 
• Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems. 
• Lead and develop best practices for larger Engineering team. 
• Test our system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed. 
• Update our processes and design new processes as needed. 
• Deploy product updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise. 
• Automate our operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements. 
• Specifying, documenting and developing new product features, and writing automating scripts. 
• Assist with Orchestrating and Automating cloud-based platforms throughout the company. 
• Work with CI/CD tools, and source control such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, GIT, SVN. 
• Develop and Employ Infrastructure as Code practices allowing rapid automated, configuration, deployments, and resolution of issues through tools like Ansible, Terraform. 
• Lead the team through development and operations. 
• Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve. 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience That You Will Need to Be Successful in This Role: 

• Experience in working with automation and configuration tools like Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform. 
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management. 
• More than two years of experience in a DevOps/Cloud Engineer role (or similar role); experience in software development and infrastructure development is a plus. 
• Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems. 
• Current with industry trends, IT ops and industry best practices, and able to identify the ones we should implement. 
• Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed. 
• Solid team player with the ability to learn, adapt, and deploy new technologies.
