What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental specialist position at Koch, Inc.?
As an Environmental Specialist at Koch, you will support multiple Koch Fertilizer terminals to address their environmental needs, including compliance support, risk optimization and stewardship.
The primary focus of this role is day-to-day environmental support for site operations teams, including routine reporting, ensuring understanding of compliance requirements, implementing best practices, and optimizing compliance processes. What You Will Do
- Manage air, water, waste and other program areas to achieve environmental excellence.
- Serve as a resource in environmental regulatory requirements and best practices; proactively engage operating teams to understand business activities and assess potential impacts on environmental programs.
- Proactively develop and continually improve our environmental programs and strategies, while effectively managing program changes.
- Facilitate and manage environmental compliance and stewardship initiatives.
- Facilitate environmental training for operations personnel. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 2 years experience in an Environmental Role
- Ability to travel up to 25% What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree in an Environmental Science or related engineering or science field (i.e. Chemistry, Geology, Biology)
- Experience working with industrial facilities
- Proficient in basic air emissions calculations
