Koch Fertilizer, LLC is seeking a motivated and self-driven Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join the fertilizer shipping and storage terminal located in Garden City, MN. Koch Fertilizer, LLC owns network of storage and terminal assets across the Midwest and Eastern corn belt. The terminal network is responsible for storage and shipment of anhydrous ammonia and other fertilizer products to customers for agricultural and industrial use. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining I&E control systems and will perform duties to ensure the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of the terminal. This position is based in Garden City MN and may include some over-night travel to other terminals.

What You Will Do In Your Role
- Troubleshooting/repairing/testing/inspecting/calibrating various industrial equipment: pumps, compressors
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Ensuring all electrical and instrumentation work meets established codes and standards
- Responsible for the electrical maintenance calibration, electrical instrumentation systems and maintenance
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Ability to pass a pulmonary breathing test
- Ability to wear a gas mask type respirator
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work at heights of approximately 25-100 ft
- Ability to sit, stand or kneel as needed
- Ability to wear full Level A Personal Protective Equipment
The Experience You Will Bring:
Requirements
- Experience as a multi-craft maintenance technician
- Ability to understand procedures, safety & environmental risks associated with handling, shipping, and storage of chemicals
- Experience or training in the maintenance and troubleshooting electrical control systems
- Experience reading electrical drawings
- Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work an on-call rotating schedule
- Must live within 45 minutes of the primary location
What Will Put You Ahead
- At least 3 years of industrial electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems experience
- At least 3 years of experience working with Motor Controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's)
- Knowledge of industrial test equipment (Hart Communicator, Multimeter, signal generators, etc.) with troubleshooting and electrical skills
- Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience with a CMMS system (Ex: Maximo)
- Associates degree in a technical field
