Flint Hills Resources is looking to fill a position with a highly motivated Construction Manager to help create superior value within the Construction Services Team. This position will be responsible for capital project support working within a Team Base Environment. In this role you will support the advancement of projects by providing leadership that ensures excellence in safety, quality, and environmental. You will provide constructibility input that leads to competitive execution, and lead field execution by seeking, developing, and utilizing strategies and methods that will create the greatest value.
Our Team
This role is located in Corpus Christi as a part of the Projects Capability. From our refineries in Pine Bend and Corpus Christi to the more than 4000 miles of pipeline we manage, the products we produce, such as transportation fuels and the wide array of coproducts that come from refining. Petroleum, are foundational to the economy.

What You Will Do
- Manage multiple projects using an approach that ensures a safe and competivite performance expected by stakeholders
- Will be motivated to contribute to the daily success of your role and create the greatest value to the business
- Lead an execution team consisting of contractors, engineers, and direct craft support to ensure all aspects of construction are considered
- Communicate project status to various stakeholders within the organization.
- Utilize the comparative advantages of the construction team to recognize the biggest opportunities for value creation and innovation in the current work process
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Able to manage construction activities
- Knowledgeable in construction methodologies
- Able to develop written construction execution plans
- Previous experience planning execution, managing construction budgets and schedules
- Computer Knowledge (specifically the ability to use Microsoft Office 365)
- 5 years of experience in construction management in an industrial setting
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in construction management or related field
- Understanding of Project Controls Metrics
- Experience with PMG Process
This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for un-escorted access to the facility within a specific time period.
