We’d love for you to consider this Koch-wide role where you analyze data and use visualization to present insights to senior leaders and unlock opportunities that drive the application of our philosophy, Principle Based Management. This individual will help the team apply integrated descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, so that we can execute better experiments, leading to faster decisions with a higher level of confidence.
We currently have existing team members in Atlanta, GA, Wichita, KS, Chicago, IL and Detroit, MI and would prefer the person in this role to reside in one of these areas.

What You Will Do In Your Role
- Apply the data development life cycle and data management principles
- Advocate and champion data-driven approaches by leading new workstreams, presenting your work to our leaders, and meeting with key partners in our businesses and capabilities (specifically HR and KGS) to identify gaps and push ideas and projects forward
- Work with a larger team of 50 colleagues around the world to expand capabilities (e.g. data visualization, regression, prescriptive analytics, simulation) to mine and effectively communicate business insights and recommendations
- Maintain and enhance dashboards that make key metrics understandable, transparent and actionable. Be(come) a subject matter expert across Koch when it comes to insights/analytics
- Combine internal and external market data to help us connect with employees
- Gather, maintain, and analyze data in Tableau, Adobe and Saba
- Partner and collaborate our IT and HR capabilities to scale your data/insights and automate reoccurring data needs
- Develop frameworks, roadmaps, and actionable requirements and project decomposition for modeling & visualization, engineering, governance, and IT\Systems Dev. teams through execution of data needs
- This role includes influencing senior leadership at one of the largest private companies in the world at a large scale (120K employees, operations in 60 countries)
- The role reports through the Employee Experience team, ultimately reporting to the President of Principle Based Management capability
WITHIN THE FIRST 30 DAYS YOU WILL:
- Meet with leaders, cross-functional partners and members of your own team to understand their priorities and how you can best support them
- Gain an understanding of the projects on our existing roadmap
- Familiarize yourself with current data sources, dashboards and existing sources of truth
WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
- Will solve problems by searching for root causes, synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data, and clearly identifying actions to address gaps and opportunities
- Is data-driven and proficient with advanced data analysis skills, including data gathering and cleaning, querying, analysis, and visualization
- Communicates clearly and crafts messages that resonate with each audience based on their role and level of context
- Emphasizes relationships with partners (to deeply understand their priorities), as well as cross-functional data partners (to leverage their skillset and improve the quality of your work)
- Is flexible and familiar with fast-paced, high-growth environments where priorities may shift based on business conditions
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience working with analytics in any capacity
- Adobe Analytics experience
- Experience in any statistics and programming language, such as R or Python
- Experience in any data visualization software (e.g. Tableau or PowerBI or Qlik)
- Experience providing recommendations to leadership based on large datasets to help drive decision making
What Will Put You Ahead
- Google Analytics experience
- Experience in data extraction from enterprise-level data sources
