What You Will Do In Your Role

Sentient Energy is looking to fill the Director, Delivery Services which is a full‐time position in the Customer Operations organization. The Delivery Services Team is responsible for managing and optimizing the planning, proposal and delivery of project services to the Company’s customers and supporting the Company’s Sales organization in proposal and contracting of those services. The Director, Delivery Services will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Company’s delivery services including contract delivery management, product configuration, deployment and commissioning, project management and reporting internally and externally.

The selected candidate will lead the customer delivery management function responsible for successful delivery of all customer-facing project delivery engagements. The Director will work across Sentient Energy’s organization including business development, engineering, product management, advanced technology teams along with strategic customers to manage the execution and support programs to meet the success metrics. Specific functions include:

• Lead all aspects of the Delivery Team
• Manage the project manager team and function for the organization
• Nurture a team culture of proactive communication, efficiency and problem-solving
• Inspire team members to constantly improve processes, client relationships and work delivery
• Motivate team members to participate in a collaborative environment
• Strengthen the project management team with education and training
• Refine Current and Develop New Standards
• Develop and improve process standards that promote efficacy and efficiency
• Maintain the team’s application of and hold project management team accountable to process, delivery and reporting standards
• Introduce & implement new project management strategies and processes
• Support the commercial organization in proposals and contracting
• Support development and response to customer proposals
• Develop scope costing and documentation to define project responsibilities
• Assist in development of presentations and methodologies for customer review
• Provide support for demos and product capability reviews during proposal process
• Manage the delivery plan of the overall the customer account/program and its activities in accordance with contract to meet success metrics
• Establish and maintain plans, activity lists, and status, lead and organize account update meetings
• Foster collaborative working environment internally and externally with respective teams to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions to execute the customer success plan
• Manage product delivery and customer acceptance in alignment to contract to recognize revenue
• Responsible for risk management and mitigation for the execution and management of the customer success plan including root cause analysis, problem resolution and corrective action initiatives
• Establish and manage internal and external reporting
• Ensure that account/program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the company and the customer

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in Program/Project Management
• 2 years of experience with deploying hardware and software solutions to customers
• 3 years of experience with project management tools and methodologies
• 3 years of people or organizational leadership experience 

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience working in the Utility Industry is preferred
• 10 years of experience in Program/Project Management and relevant market experience
• 5 years of experience with electric utility systems such as SCADA, DMS, OMS and ADMS.
• Experience managing project delivery including scope, design, and pricing
