Molex in Lincoln, Nebraska is adding an EH&S Specialist to their team! In this role, you will promote a strong health and safety culture. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety regulations and management system standards. Assist in developing and maintaining safety policies and procedures for Lincoln campus.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Promote a strong health and safety culture. Guide and participate in company Safety Team meetings, activities, and inspections. Act as a liaison to all team members to help with employee suggestions, issues, or concerns.
- Assist with managing site risks. Including facilitating risk assessments, job safety analyses, and PPE assessments.
- Use the risk assessment process to drive improvements.
- Assist in developing employee environmental, health and safety training programs.
- Understand, support, and contribute to the management systems.
- Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis, and determining corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence.
- Compile monthly environmental, health, and safety metrics.
- Compile, generate, and file regulatory reports.
- Review existing, new, and proposed governmental standards affecting manufacturing operations.
- Assist with the management of Hazardous Waste Streams. This includes performing inspections, reviewing waste characterizations, scheduling pick-ups and shipping of hazardous materials.
- Research, learn, and apply regulatory information. Develop and recommend safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Associates degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety or related program
- A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in environmental, health, and safety (can include internship experience)
- At least 1 year of EHS experience in manufacturing and coursework in OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
What Will Put You Ahead
- BS degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
- Advanced professional certifications such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
- Experience in environmental reporting, lean manufacturing, and root cause analysis
