Our Job
DEPCOM POWER, INC an emerging leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of Utility Scale PV power plants, is hiring Field Engineers that can work well in a fast-paced environment. This position is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship.
This position requires travel nationwide 99% of time as an onsite Field Engineer supporting construction of 10-200MW Utility-Scale Solar PV Plants and includes Per Diem.
The candidate can live anywhere & must be able to travel to the project sites as needed but are entitled to monthly home trips.
Our Team
The Field Engineering group supports both self-perform and contracted construction of utility-scaled Solar EPC jobs nationwide. Our group provides superior value to our Customers by orchestrating seamless field operations. We achieve this through robust communication, group collaboration, and responsible, creative problem-solving, ensuring projects are constructed on time and in compliance with design, laws, codes, and requirements.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate inspections and facilitate discussions with local, county, and state Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
- Create and conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) for verification of quality and installation todesign
- Document and maintain construction and engineering drawings, including but not limited to red-line sets
- Compose and maintain Requests for Information (RFIs) between construction teams, engineers, vendors, and long-term project owners
- Review construction material submittals
- Assist in the preparation of specifications, data sheets and other pre-construction planning
- Maintain storm water documentation and orchestrate respective remediation
- Proactively manage project constraints through collaboration with project management, engineering, and construction personnel
- Operate drones to capture construction progress/issues
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience working against deadlines
- Experience creating and compiling reports
- Experience working in a team setting
- Experience adjusting to unexpected working conditions
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a technical discipline
- Experience operating drones or possesses an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) license
- Experience Field Engineering, Project Engineering, or Construction Management in the Renewables or Oil & Energy Fields
For this role, we anticipate paying $70,000 - $90,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
