The Memphis Cellulose manufacturing facility located in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a motivated Process Control Engineering Intern to join our team. In this role, the intern will help support innovation, process efficiency, equipment reliability, and quality assurance, with a large overarching focus on compliance, safety, and health. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Learn basic control strategies using Honeywell Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Learn how to troubleshoot and support daily manufacturing operations.
  • Learn how to provide guidance to manufacturing operations on selection and implementation of process control technologies and strategies
  • Learn to design, program, modify, and maintain the mill’s control systems.
  • Pursue engineering solutions to resolve equipment deficiencies

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program and eligible for full-time employment on or before May 2025.
  • Able to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Interest in working with distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controller (PLC) based systems to include troubleshooting, configuration, and design.

  • Major in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering/Computer Science.
