PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN
Molex Sensorcon is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Production Technician for our Western New York (Buffalo, NY) facility. In this role you will be helping us build innovative environmental and IoT sensing products for a wide range of professional and industrial applications.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Mechanical assembly of sensors and electronic parts relating to gas detection
- Operation of gas tanks, regulators, piping and tubing for calibration equipment
- Record keeping of calibration and test data
- Ability to operate small machines, electronics, multimeters, relays, and gas mixing equipment
- Ability to read and comprehend charts and graphs
- Must learn and understand the risks and safety procedures associated with a variety of hazardous gasses
- Visual inspection of product to ensure documented quality standards are maintained
- Follow technical documentation relating to production, quality, and engineering
- Job requires manual dexterity and the ability to work through a microscope
- Perform root cause analysis on failed units and customer returns
- Assist in training new employees on production operations
- Candidate must maintain a safe and clean working environment and have the ability to communicate effectively
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Technical degree in related field, or 4 years directly related prior work experience
- 1 year of experience with a 2 year technical degree or a 4 year degree with demonstrated in class lab experience
- Ability to understand and learn manufacturing, quality, and engineering processes
- Proficiency in excel, understanding of databases
- Effective organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience working with hazardous gasses and chemicals
- Experience with electronics / soldering, manufacturing
- Experience with testing procedures, statistics reporting
- Experience with Linux operating system, understanding of Python scripting language
- Understanding of computer networks and networking protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP
