Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is looking for a Project Controls Analyst who will be a primary point of contact for project cost forecasting, changes, risk management, and involvement/influence throughout the project lifecycle on small to large Capital Projects across (up to) 6 plants. This role requires collaboration, analysis, and strong relationships with cross site, cross functional teams. This position is preferably based out of Wichita KS but open to Beatrice NE, Dodge City KS, Fort Dodge IA, Enid OK, St James LA, or Brandon MB. The successful candidate would travel about 25% of the time.
What You Will Do In Your Role
Use critical thinking, analysis, curiosity, and collaboration throughout the following (but not limited to) functions:
- As a member of one or more project teams, you will leverage knowledge of phase gate project processes and get the right information to the right people at the right time to make the best decisions.
- Partner with the project teams to:
- collect data and perform analysis to assist in determining a baseline budget and updated cost forecast throughout the project lifecycle.
- manage changes to ensure appropriate classification, documentation, and communication.
- manage risk register activities.
- Demonstrate initiative to improve project outcomes, processes, and forecasting.
- Share knowledge and solve problems across teams to improve project deliverables across KAES.
- Work around the plant without assistance
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to analyze trends/variances and determine root causes along with potential solutions
- Experience applying leading metrics to analyze variances and an understanding of how decisions will influence outcomes
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience on projects and/or turnarounds in an industrial or construction environment.
- Experience with reporting, data analytics tools and visualization software such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Experience with project cost management (including forecasting, change management, WBS/CBS buildup, risk management, reporting, etc.)
- Familiarity with EcoSys, Maximo, P6 or similar project portfolio or scheduling tools.
- Ability to perform risk based contingency assessments and identify key drivers of risks.
