Georgia-Pacific’s Corrugated Packaging division is looking for a Sales Representative to support its corrugated packaging business in Northern California. The Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and prospects for the sale of box packaging in the produce industry and for managing and profitably growing existing relationships with GP’s current customer base. The primary area of focus will be Fresno, CA and surrounding areas of the Northern California market.
This is an exciting time for Georgia Pacific as we continue to expand our growth in the market with investment in state-of-the-art packaging equipment to further advance our position in the market. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, operate independently as he or she executes on the business’ sales strategy, an innovative and economic thinker with proven sales experience. This position offers a competitive base salary, a sales incentive plan paid bi-annually, a company car, home office equipment, smart phone, and company credit card. In this role you will report to the Area Sales Manager of Produce in Northern California.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Own your territory like it is your own business with a focus in servicing/growing existing key/national accounts and gaining new business in the Northern California market
- Within new business development you will spend time focusing on prospecting utilizing tools such as LinkedIn Navigator, working with the Salesforce Effectiveness team, etc. to build your pipeline
- You will have exposure/work cross collaboratively with GP capabilities and act as the liaison between your customers and GP customer service, quality, design, production, accounting, shipping, etc.
- Creating value as measured by revenue growth in both new and in existing accounts
- Work independently against a variety of objectives using time-management skills to meet and exceed internal and external expectations
- Identifying customer specific solutions and drive implementation through existing sales channels
- Travel to manufacturing plants and customer locations regularly for sales, account maintenance, inventory, new projects, and special initiatives
- Work with cross-functional teams to define key account strategies, including needs assessment, product development and innovation, operational excellence, and internal asset strategy
- Technical skills demonstrated daily utilizing tools such as Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.), Microsoft Dynamics CRM, etc.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years outside sales and/or packaging sales experience
- Willing to travel up to 50% (some overnights etc.)
- Valid US Driver's license
What Will Put You Ahead
- 5 or more years of outside sales/B2B experience
- Corrugated and/or packaging experience
- Produce industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher

For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000- $120,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
