Reports To:
Transportation Services Manager
The Transportation Services is responsible for assisting the Transportation Manager while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all members and guests, prior to their arrival, during their stay, and providing a seamless departure experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Follow arrival and departure standards for the transportation department for our Members and their Guests to receive the Aloha welcome of Kohanaiki.
• Uphold the detailing and maintenance standards of the Kohanaiki transportation vehicles day in and day out.
• Communicating repairs and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles to the Transportation Manager.
• Maintain a valid Hawaii Driver’s license.
• Reduce risk of vehicle overloading/manage safe driving standards at all times.
• Follow safe work activities by conducting vehicle safety inspections.
• Maintaining and completing accurate vehicle records.
• Track Flights and follow up with members and their guests prior to and day of arrival and departure for seamless service.
• Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees and other departments.
• Operate radios efficiently and professionally in communicating with hotel staff. Ensure the proper use of radio etiquette within the department.
• Uphold the attentive, friendly, helpful and courteousness to all guests, managers and other employees.
• Other tasks/duties as assigned by the Director of Club Services, Director of Golf, and VP of Operations.
Qualifications:
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent inter-personal skills.
• Ability to speak English fluently.
Customer Service Responsibility:
• Ensures that the club's customer service standards are maintained at an exceptional level.
• Presents self in a professional manner including appearance, identification, and general
communication and conduct at all times.
• Makes a positive contribution to the work environment through presentation of positive
attitude, demonstration of cooperation and teamwork, and constructive approach to daily
events.
• Listens effectively, responds to guests’ requests in a friendly “can do†manner.
Dependability:
• Attendance: Adheres to established schedule of work hours. Follows established procedures
for early notification to supervisor when unable to report to work. Call a manager 30 minutes
before shift starts to avoid an improper call in.
o Punctuality: Arrives to work at scheduled times and works until authorized to leave.
• Attends all mandatory education/in-service programs and demonstrates understanding of
responsibilities through appropriate actions.
• Demonstrates effective communication by utilizing positive verbal and non-verbal
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and extra hours when needed.
Safety:
• Demonstrates adherence to the club's safe practice procedures and makes recommendations
to improve safety. Reports any unsafe work practice to supervisor.
• Consistently utilizes proper body mechanics in performance of responsibilities, as evidenced
by supervisor’s observation and no injury to self or others due to improper work habits.
• Follows proper reporting procedures when injured at work. Is aware of the location of
material safety data sheets and refers to them when necessary.
Physical and Mental Requirements of the Job:
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment while meeting deadlines as directed.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50-60 pounds.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to multitask.
