What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Production Manager position at KOHLS?
Execute the development of product, assisting in the communication of all product needs to the Cross Functional Team (CFT - Sourcing and Materials Management). Helps drive the Customer To Concept (CTC) process for the brand/ category.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION OF PRODUCT
- Owns production Timing and Action Calendar management
- Assists in owning CFT meeting w/ design and merchants, weekly communication of sales and product needs
- Develops and manages flex/contingency needs and replenishment with cross functional partners
- Assists in style, brand unit projections and confirms/finalizes new styles
- Communicates development details and product confirmation with vendors.
- Communicates all product needs to CFT (sourcing and MM) for accurate costing
- Assists in rolling up costing and sharing out with merchant/ design partners
- Communicates timing and ensures accuracy of seasonal product plan.
- Executes the seasonal calendar ensuring deadlines and milestones are consistently met.
- Supports manager in agenda setting, presentation and follow up for all milestone meetings/working sessions
- Executes seasonal packaging needs, Buy Plan and Trim Sheet validation, and Style Tracker Maintenance
- Accountable for achieving cost targets by category - in partnership with sourcing and materials management.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- 2 years of retail or product development experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
PREFERRED
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong knowledge of fashion trends and forecasts, fabric/material and color
- Strong math aptitude and knowledge of retail math
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- May travel
