The Credit Strategy & Engagement Analyst supports in-store Kohl’s Card acquisition through analysis and reporting. This role supports the Senior Credit Strategy & Engagement Analyst, TCMs and TCAs to identify strengths and opportunities for Kohl’s Card acquisition.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
CREDIT GOALS
- Partner with Senior Analyst to create, distribute and post monthly credit goals.
- Analyze credit performance to identify opportunities to further develop the credit goaling methodology.
- Create and distribute ongoing and ad-hoc conversion performance reports for TCMs and TCAs to identify opportunities of need for additional visits, education and engagement.
DATA MINING & ADVANCED ANALYTICS
- Utilizes multiple data sources to analyze business trends
- Proactively provides visibility to trends and variances as well as root cause analysis
- Communicates trends and key metrics to business leaders
- Translate raw data into useful information to support effective storytelling.
- Identify trends in store credit performance based on macro and micro store impacts such as marketing events, store culture, weather and region.
- Create reports that are user-friendly and accessible through new and existing platforms.
- Fact-check data to ensure accuracy and explain any anomalies in information.
- Present Kohl’s Card data and information as the SME to senior Store and Credit/Customer Service leaders as necessary.
- Ad-hoc reporting requests from TCMs, SOE, Finance and other partners.
TCM/TCA SUPPORT
- Manage the store visit trackers for the TCMs to capture visit information and suggest next steps as identified by data.
- Conduct deep dive analysis into store performance to identify opportunities and to enhance TCM visits.
- Identify stores TCMs should prioritize to drive improved credit.
- Monitor store performance before and after TCM store visits.
- Manage visit priority tracking.
- Prepare daily and weekly performance reports for districts and territories.
- In partnership with TCMs, develop store action plans to help stores achieve conversion goals.
REPORTING
- Work closely with the Credit Strategy Field Manager to execute and iterate key Kohl’s Card initiatives, contests and tests using data to drive decisions.
- Create and distribute the quarterly store accounts report in partnership with Marketing Analytics and Decision Analytics.
- Complete Monday reporting to include: WBR credit slide, conversion reporting for the Credit Strategy and Engagement team, incentive results, CFS store stats and TVC credit slide for SOE.
- Identify and propose key timing for enhanced incentives using historical data trends to support the decision.
- Support the creation of business cases for store enhancements to drive credit in stores.
- Project monthly credit application counts needed to support store acquisition.
- Store Support
- Send quick responses and thoughtful solutions to questions and issues surrounding the Kohl’s Card and any of its tests/tactics.
- Assist in the management of the team’s general inbox.
- Participate in the execution of stores We're Listening Sessions, visits and follow-up.
- Participate in weekly/monthly/quarterly store leadership calls as needed and directed by your Manager.
- Partnerships
- Act as the primary liaison between Decision Analytics and the Field Credit Strategy team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 3-4 years of experience in reporting and analysis
- Course Certifications or clearly demonstrated proficiencies in Microsoft Applications (including; Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as the Google Suite including Google Sheets.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical, planning and organization, decision making and leadership skills
- Ability to break down large amounts of data into understandable and actionable data points by varying technical understanding of concepts.
- Experience with BI tools.
PREFERRED
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Skilled in SQL, ETL and dashboarding tools to transform business needs into visualizations and insights
- Basic understanding of ETL and data modeling concepts
- Experience creating, automating and optimizing reports through dashboarding tools like Qlik
