What are the responsibilities and job description for the Screen Printer position at Kolortech Graphics?
The Screen Printer Specialist is responsible for handling Kolortech's in-house customization production. This position will work in collaboration with our team to successfully customize and produce final product for customers and accounts.
Position Responsibilities:
- Examining work orders to determine estimated printing times, ink, and material quantities.
- Designing screen patterns according to customer specification; which includes selecting screen size, degreasing agents and emulsion coatings.
- Align and operate single and multiple color screens jobs on manual and auto machines.
- Loading screen into printer. Installing and repositioning screen-printing plates and pressure roles
- Calibrating printer before batch is printed.
- Manage multiple jobs at one time and produce at a fast rate of speed and high quality.
- Running prints and performing quality checks throughout the printing process. Troubleshooting problems as they arise.
- Inspect merchandise against order specifications.
- Drying, folding, and packing completed articles after the run.
- Coat, burn and reclaim screens for future use
- Bi-weekly maintenance of machines & equipment
- Preparing and managing ink and color distribution during print project
- Follow daily production schedule set by Management team
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks as required by Management
- Other Duties – Additional warehouse duties such as packing, pulling, unloading, and/or other warehouse related work may be assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies:
- Must have experience working with plastisol inks, color mixing
- Ability to follow order instructions, and other printing-related tasks
- Ability to work with multiple departments and communicate effectively
- Ability to manage work independently on multiple projects and adherence to strict deadlines
- Attention to detail and well organized
- Knowledge of basic math, and computer skills
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 40 pounds and stand required throughout the day.
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Two to three years Screen Printing experience preferred
- Experience in running, operating, and troubleshooting screen printing and embroidery machinery, including single and multi-head units.
Shift times: M-F 9am-5pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
