We are looking for a Database Developer for a full time, direct hire position located in Baton Rouge, LA.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance, design ideas, project planning suggestions and issue resolution assistance to ensure that projects are successfully completed in a timely manner.
- Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role.
- Design and implement database in accordance to end user's information needs and views.
- Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
- Design and implement ETL processes to selectively update dimensional models with incoming data.
- Design and implement stored procedures which validate data, capture new incoming system codes, map reporting attributes, and perform other business processing on source system data.
- Design and implement T-SQL views from dimensional models to support reporting.
- Implement SQL Server database objects by coding T-SQL scripts to create tables, views, indexes, constraints, stored procedures, and other artifacts as needed.
- Provide technical assistance for Power BI and SSRS report development.
- Optimize SQL query performance by analysis, profiling and indexing to minimize response time.
- Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
- Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 5 years of Development experience
- 5 years of recent experience working as a Database Administrator.
- 5 years of experience with SQL Server
- Experience with Data Warehousing
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS and/or SSAS
- Experience of Data Modeling, Dimensional Modeling
- Experience with Azure
- Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity
- Experience with database design, documentation, and coding
- Experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
- Strong familiarity with applicable data privacy regulations, practices, and laws
- Familiarity with programming languages API
- Familiarity with applicable data privacy practices, regulations, and laws
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in information systems, computer science/engineering preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
