DescriptionWanted – a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined engineering student to serve as a Summer 2023 Engineering Intern at the Midwest’s premier laser cutting job shop. We are looking for the right person who can help Kooima Company meet its goals by completing important engineering projects. If this interests you, here are some of the things past Engineering Interns have done:Designed ductwork to be installed for new machineryDesigned a process line for box-making to improve process efficiencyDesigned stands and carts for a new processInvestigated ways to reduce noise of certain machineryReverse engineered parts for a piece of machineryDesigned stands and other equipment to make jobs more efficient or ergonomicIf you can accomplish the above, you’ve got what it takes. Realistically though, in order to hit the ground running, you need at least two years of engineering classes to accomplish these types of tasks. Required Skills:Ability to read work orders and communicate verbally with othersAbility to repeatedly lift up to 80 poundsAbility to learn new things quicklyExperience and/or education in the Engineering fieldQualificationsMinimum of two years of engineering classesStrong attention to detailGood communication skills
