Overview:

Kooky Canuck, a vibrant and dynamic casual dining full-service restaurant, is seeking a skilled Front of House Restaurant Manager to join our team. Our restaurant offers a unique and exciting dining experience, blending delicious food with exceptional service in a lively atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities:


  1. Leadership: Lead and inspire the front of house team to deliver exceptional service while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
  2. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise front of house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
  3. Customer Service: Ensure that guests receive prompt, friendly, and personalized service at all times. Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  4. Operations Management: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  5. Sales and Revenue Generation: Work closely with the kitchen team to optimize menu offerings and pricing. Implement strategies to increase sales and maximize revenue, such as promotions, upselling, and suggestive selling techniques.
  6. Financial Management: Monitor and control operating costs, including labor, food, and beverage expenses. Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures as needed.
  7. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. Conduct regular inspections of the dining area and front of house facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to sanitation guidelines.
  8. Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for front of house staff to enhance their product knowledge, service skills, and upselling techniques.
  9. Guest Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, soliciting feedback and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the restaurant industry, preferably in a full-service dining environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, staffing, and inventory management.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and sanitation guidelines.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Our menu consists of a 4lb burger called the Kookamonga, BBQ Eggrolls, Bacon Lettuce and Fried Green Tomato Sandwich, Deep Dish Cookie. We have a full bar including our signature 34oz draft beers and cocktails . We believe that friendly customer service, quality fresh food, perceived value, and a unique, as well as fun experience will keep our guests coming back to KOOKY CANUCK.
