Clinical Supervisor
Position Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of clinical staff.
Responsibilities:
Acts as a clinical resource for team in daily problem solving
Ensures appropriate patient assessment and treatment
Responsible for coordination of care and education for patients
Provides procedural oversight, if applicable
Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement projects that are identified
Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations
Participates in Regulatory Compliance training and activities
Ensures compliance with established regulations and standards including quality improvement projects, quality assurance, and confidentiality and EHR documentation
Reviews and evaluates the work and performance of subordinates
Has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of group
Leads and directs the work of others
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
BSN required
Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program
State of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho
3 years of healthcare experience required
3 years of experience as a charge nurse, manager, clinical instructor or supervisor in a setting related to clinical program preferred
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS-C) required
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
Working Conditions:
Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
