Kopis is seeking at Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator to provide high quality services and solutions to our clients.  If you’re passionate about aligning database systems large and small with best practices and maintaining the highest levels of uptime and performance possible, Kopis has the role for you.

We want to hear from you if you have:

A mixture of skills and at least two years’ experience in the following concepts and technologies:

• Database Administration
  • Query activity profiling and analysis
  • File storage strategy and implementation
  • Setup, monitoring and maintenance of high availability and disaster recovery methods (Mirroring, Replication, Clustering, AlwaysOn Availability Groups
  • Best practices in the following areas
    • SQL Server Configuration
    • Database maintenance
    • Security setup and auditing
  • Index optimization
  • Database modeling, architecture and design strategies
•  T-SQL 
  • Complex, multi-layered, analytical queries
  • Dynamic SQL
  • Stored Procedures, Functions, Common Table Expressions
• Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Studio
• Customer facing activities including requirements gathering, troubleshooting, and support
• Accurately estimating timelines for related projects and tasks
• Proven strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
• Understanding of impact when implementing solutions in a cloud environment

We Give Bonus Points if you have:

• Experience working with large datasets (millions of rows, dozens of gigabytes to terabytes)
• SSIS

• SSRS
• Microsoft PowerBI
• TFS and/or Visual Studio Online
• Microsoft Azure
• Big Data
