What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler/2nd Shift position at Koppers, Inc?
- Complies with all plant administrative rules
- Operates Heavy Equipment in any capacity necessary
- Loads and unloads forest products to and from cars, trucks, trams, stacks, or conveyor systems.
- Packages or loads in accordance with customer specifications.
- This job may require the handling of hazardous material..
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimal Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with heavy equipment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Dependable - more reliable than spontaneous
- Adaptable/flexible - enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
- Detail-oriented - would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture
- Achievement-oriented - enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail
- Autonomous/Independent - enjoys working with little direction
- High stress tolerance - thrives in a high-pressure environment
