BASIC DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Ensure all raw materials, as well as final and intermediate products are tested according to their established sampling frequency by following documented test methods. To ensure the product is statistically within the customer specified requirements.

Ensure all raw materials, as well as final and intermediate products are tested according to their established sampling frequency by following documented test methods. To ensure the product is statistically within the customer specified requirements.
Safe Work Practices
- PPE Requirement: Safety Shoes, Safety glasses, Hearing Protection, Gloves
- Kevlar Gloves when using knives
- Perform all required tests on samples including but not limited to: Yarn, Chemicals, Cord, Greige and Treated fabric. Tests include but not limited to pH, Solids, Chemical stability, Twist, Tensile, Thermal Shrinkage, Adhesion, Stiffness, Dip Pick-up, Moisture, etc.
- Perform retest as needed
- Maintain clear and legible records of all tests performed.
- Enter all test results in the database, verifying all entries for accuracy to ensure they reflect the actual results obtained.
- Notify shift supervisor concerning any out-of-spec results before conducting retest or resample
- Perform all calibration procedures on lab equipment at required frequencies. Report equipment malfunctions and unusual conditions for follow-up.
- Maintain inventory of Laboratory Reagents and other supplies
- Help to maintain a Safe and Healthy workplace by being organized on the job and cleaning up after a task is completed
- Help to maintain used parts inventory especially for critical equipment – notify supervisor of any parts used
- Perform duties related to special projects as assigned by Lab Supervisor
- Fill in as needed on other shifts
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
