KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Automation CoE to join our Operations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply comprehensive or specialist-level knowledge to build the Automation strategy, oversee methodology and delivery, and manage the tools required by the Automation Center of Excellence; gain Executive Leadership buy-in of Automation strategy, generate ideas and new enhancements, and lead implementations and management of efforts
  • Create and maintain a methodology that enforces standards, guidelines, and leading practices; seek opportunities to communicate/negotiate with other Automation groups
  • Provide active coaching, mentoring and knowledge-sharing with junior staff to advance their career development; manage and review those team members' work product; assume people management responsibility for a mid-sized to small team of entry level through intermediate level professionals; be accountable for increasing group competency
  • Make business case, select and secure required tools as well as increasing group competency in use of tools; support and guide counselee communications to stakeholders and assessment of effort and needs to complete deliverables
  • Lead multiple key projects, processes, programs and initiatives, making independent decisions related to required tasks and use judgment to regularly make decisions on high risk and complex matters; develop strategic relationship with Executive Leadership; build strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, and vendors on behalf of department
  • Synthesize and prioritize CoE enabled automations with stakeholders and Executive Leadership; organize and execute CoE and vendor led trainings with stakeholders and Executive Leadership

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten years of recent experience in an enterprise IT environment and in delivery of IT systems with understanding of Automation, and leveraging best-suited methodologies and practices
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Experience leading and managing teams through large programs and/or products required
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork.
  • Able to foster the development of high-performance teams; capable of building strong professional relationships with ability to influence all levels across the organization
  • Must be able to set and execute strategic initiatives for team; creative thinker with ability to identify innovative business solutions; capability to develop strategic organization and resource plans, defining next generation business and leadership needs
