KPMG is currently seeking a Database Administrator to join our Digital Nexus organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide senior level Oracle database infrastructure and application support including software installation, database creation, upgrade, patching, problem diagnosis, performance tuning, database maintenance, process automation, backup/restore and disaster recovery
- Develop and implement of backup/restore using RMAN; be responsible for configuration and support for high availability solutions using Oracle Data Guard and RAC
- Be accountable for performance evaluation and tuning recommendations
- Interact with various technology teams and participate in all aspects of database support
- Communicate and collaborate with software development team on database changes to meet business requirements
- Participate in 24/7 on call rotation and emergency off-hours support
- Opportunity to be involved in Cloud support
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of recent experience supporting Oracle databases with demonstrated excellent senior database administration experience using Oracle 12c and 19c
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
- Experience with troubleshooting and performance tuning; prior experience in managing Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, and restore/recovery; strong knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate
- Oracle ASM, RMAN, AWR, ADDM and shell scripting experience; proficiency with Unix and Linux environments
- Experience and proficiency in any of the following is a plus: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, and Azure Databrics
- Able to work collaboratively with people from other teams and clients; ability to provide off-hours support, including evenings and weekends when required, and 24/7 on-call for emergencies; capability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; must be a team player; exceptional verbal/written communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- US Citizenship is required
