KPMG is currently seeking a Research Lead, Gen AI to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization. This is a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the research and development efforts in the field of Gen AI, including developing new algorithms, models, and techniques for analyzing and interpreting genetic data
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to identify new opportunities for innovation and research in the field of Gen AI
- Stay up to date with the latest research and trends in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in Gen AI
- Provide market insights and analysis to inform the development of Gen AI products and services
- Partner with a team of researchers and developers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of projects
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop proof of concept (POC) projects and prototypes that demonstrate the potential of Gen AI; partner and collaborate with other technology groups, acting as a thought leader for Gen AI, Gen AI roadmaps, and next generation technology direction
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of recent experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of researchers and developers; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations and apply multiple AI solutions to business problems
- Experience in developing proof of concept (POC) projects and prototypes; capacity to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new Gen AI technologies
- Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; must be able to set goals and participate in strategic initiatives for a team; foster the development of high-performance teams and interface with all levels of the organization; ability to participate in development of resource plans and structures and influence organizational priorities
