KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Database Developer to join our Tax Technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design logical database models and provide technical guidance during each phase of the development process

  • Provide performance tuning and optimization of existing SQL code

  • Deliver technical support for the database environment and database objects such as stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, and views

  • Work with developers, business analysts, other team members and clients to review the business requirements and translate them into database objects

  • Create, maintain, and publish data models, data dictionaries and entity relationship diagrams using industry standard tools and technologies

  • Develop and practice standards for database architecture, administration, security, design, backup, recovery, development, and deployment for departmental use

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in overall SQL Server performance tuning and optimization related field or equivalent industry experience; minimum five years of recent experience in logical and physical database modeling, as well as designing database schema, stored procedures, triggers, and other database related objects

  • Minimum five years of recent and progressive experience developing, unit testing and troubleshooting SQL Server in Azure Cloud and SQL Server 2014, 2016 and 2019 including SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS (desirable), as well as experience with Azure DevOps: advanced level of knowledge in using these technologies preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from an accredited college/university is preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL/Stored Procedure/Function programming and design

  • Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages
