Title:Assistant Project Manager

KPRS Construction Services is seeking to hire an Assistant Project Manager for one of our entities based in Los Angeles area.
KPRS is a full-service general contractor, headquartered in Brea, CA, with offices in Hawaii, Los Angeles and Dublin, CA with construction expertise in medical, technology, tenant improvement, public works, industrial, retail, multi-family, office core and shell, and hotel projects.
The Project Engineer reports directly to the Project Manager and/or Sr. Project Manager. The Project Engineer responsibilities include managing all matters relating to Engineering policies and procedures to document control, distribution, and recordation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of Assistant Project Manager experience in the field of construction
- B.S. Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
- Background assisting with the development of multi-family structures such as multi-family units, dorms, condos, and senior living
- Experience assisting PM with creating, submitting RFI's, budgets, approvals, negotiation, and ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Experience speaking with owners, developers, and subcontractors regarding project changes/updates
Responsibilities:
- Manage the timely award of all subcontracts as well as the budget for same
- Manage the overall project schedule to achieve an on time completion
- Manage the submittal process for timely approvals of shop drawings, product data and samples
- Resolve problems and open issues (RFI’s) in a timely fashion
- Manage the change orders and overall cost control for the project
- Effectively manage the changes and ensure these are incorporated by all parties
- Keep the client informed of all project issues and obtain timely decisions/direction
- Prepare internal budget reports and present project status monthly to KPRS Management
