FAA Contract Service Officer (CSO) Hilliard, ARTCC

KR Contracting (KRC) is accepting applications for Contract Security Officer to join our team at the Hilliard, ARTCC site. As a Contract Security Officer, your experience and work history at the Hilliard, ARTCC site will be vital to the physical security and safeguardomg of FAA employees, facilities, and United States Government property and assets from loss, theft, damage, unauthorized use, criminal acts, espionage, sabotage, and terrorism.

You will be part of an essential team of Contract Security Officers that are well-trained, armed, and equipped to provide an effective means for implementing and monitoring the provisions of the Facility Security Management Program.

Duties/Responsibilities

Armed CSOs shall perform all tasks in accordance with the duties outlined within the Statement of Work (SOW) and Facility Post Orders. Some of the duties and instruction include but are not limited to:

• Access Control - Courteous, timely service while maintaining control of all personnel and vehicles entering the facility
• Screening - Personal and random screening of all visitors and officials/staff with appropriate authorization
• Roving Patrol - Patrol facility perimeter and secure areas for hazards and unsafe conditions and unauthorized visitors
• Incident Report Writing - Provide a timely and accurate flow of data concerning the nature and frequency of adverse events that occur at FAA facilities
• Visitor processing - Issue visitor badges in accordance with Facility Post Orders
• Emergency and event response - Respond to and monitor security and fire alarms and closed-circuit television (cct) to detect security risks, threats, or prohibited items carried by visitors
• Grooming- Correctly attired in company issued uniform, equipment, and grooming

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• United States citizens
• Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency
• Must meet one (1) or more of the following requirements for experience:
  • Three (3) years of security experience within the past five (5) years
  • Associate Degree in a related field plus one (1) year of experience
  • Three (3) years of military experience (active, reserve or National Guard either be currently serving or have been honorably discharged
  • Successful completion of a State certified Police Officer’s Standard Training (POST) certification course
• Current Florida weapons permit
• Class "D" armed security license
• Active Tier 1 Security Clearance (Public Trust)
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
