PURPOSE OF JOB: The Junior Security Compliance Analystis responsible for implementing and supporting tasks through the verification of documented processes, procedures and standards that align with and corroborate the implementation of IT security configurations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Junior Security Compliance Analyst responsible for supporting internal and client efforts.
Below are typical expectations and tasks for this position:
- Monitor project status, identify risk/issues and recommend solutions.
- Follow documented processes (SOP, work instructions, MS Planner cards) for implementing solutions and managing project work and deliverables.
- Responsible for preparation of meeting agendas and scribe meeting minutes; must have good speaking and communication skills.
- Proactively collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders e.g., MS Teams, emails, project status reporting.
- Proactively follow up with clients to ensure that client engagements meet timelines for deliverables.
- Familiarity of industry recognized technical best practices and frameworks to include ITIL, Agile, NIST and/or CMMC is desired.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory, Endpoint Manager and other Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Intermediate skills in managing Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android OS devices within their respective networks.
- Basic or intermediate working knowledge of SharePoint online (MSO365).
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across various cloud and on-prem environments.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or Information Technology field or 2-4 years related experience and/or training including certifications.
- 2 years experience in technical or process-oriented position.
- 3 years experience in Microsoft Azure and related cloud services experience.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and research skills as well as the ability to disseminate more complex issues and develop complex processes, procedures or solutions.
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into practical information that improves corporate processes.
- Ability to absorb information and data from multiple sources and apply analytical skills to produce and present thoughtful and strategic recommendations to the end customer.
- Demonstrates the ability to assist with authoring of policy and procedure documents that aligns with technical implementation.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, e.g. Teams, Word, Planner, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint.
- Experience completing tasks, scheduling, and managing projects in a deadline driven environment.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS:
- Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Certifications (AZ 900, MS 500, etc.)
- NIST 800.171, CMMC, CMMI and/or ISO 9001/20000/27000 experience
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree: Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or Information Technology field or 2-4 years related experience and/or training including certifications.
