What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mailroom/Stockroom Associate position at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health?
POSITION SUMMARY
Perform diversified duties associated with the processing of incoming and outgoing mail, transportation shuttle operation, and all aspects of shop inventory including receiving inventory, reconciling packing slips, pricing merchandise, restock and online order fulfillment among others.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Pick up, sort and distribute incoming organizational and guest mail and packages.
- Distribute office supplies, monitor supply inventory; perform re-stocking as necessary.
- Receive, research and accommodate customer and staff requests relative to mail and other guest services.
- Prepare US Mail, UPS, FedEx and other packages in preparation for shipment, mailing or delivery, using prescribed method or selecting the most cost-effective method that achieves delivery requirements.
- Comply with all Mailroom procedures, policies and standards with focus on budgetary constraints.
- Drive guest shuttle van to and from Lenox bus stop.
- Pick up and deliver mail to post office and other buildings on Kripalu property.
- Check in merchandise for shop in stockroom and reconcile against packing slips and purchase orders
- Count and price merchandise for the Shop
- Assist in inventory tracking.
- Process and package all online web sales orders received.
- Maintain all daily online reporting to ensure valid inventory.
SCHEDULE
- Able to work a variable schedule, including weekends and Holidays.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds regularly
- Ability to drive shuttle van and bus several times per day as schedule dictates.
- Ability to work variable schedule including weekends, and holidays.
- Solid Ability to use Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Valid driver's license, superior registry of motor vehicles driving record.
- Must be able to follow procedures on safety and emergency protocols.
- Organized and very detail oriented.
- Must be able to work in a closed environment.
- Must be able to work as a team player.
- Ability to stay focused in a multitasking environment.
- Able to take direction, manage time and workload to pivot between needs of mailroom, transportation and stockroom.
