Preset expo station for service with required plates, condiments, sauces, syrups, utensils, to go supplies, bags, etc. Understand plate set up and what garnishes, sauces or accompaniments are served with each plate. Serve as the go-between relaying all communication from front of the house (FOH) and back of the house (BOH). Essential Job FunctionsSanitize all work surfaces and touch points before replenishing workstation with supplies or foodVerify expo station is set up and has proper items in placeMake sure orders are being prepared in the correct priority and in a timely mannerConfirm all dine in orders are prepared to guest's specificationsCheck dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperatureOrganize plated dishes by seat and table number for delivery to tableTransfer important information between the kitchen and the service staff (e.g., when a customer has a request)Ability to "call" to the kitchen staff for missing plates or food itemsBag and ensure entire to go orders are correct and accounted for with every orderUnderstand steps of service with the capability to ask for hands meant for efficient table serviceMaintain a professional demeanor, ensuring uniform and personal appearance are presentable and reflective of the company brandCommunicate any safety or guest concerns to manager as appropriateMaintain good working relationships with coworkers, managers and guestsCoordinate with and assist fellow associates to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurantAttend scheduled associate meetings and offer suggestions for improvementComply with federal, state, local and company food safety guidelines, food handling guidelines and rules governing sanitation and the cleanliness/maintenance of kitchen/dining room areasMaintain flexibility to work any shift, including nights, weekends, or holidaysMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications6 months of experience in a similar roleAny demonstrated experience completing duties in a fast-paced kitchen while performing multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with team and guestsAbility to work in a standing position for an entire shift and lift objects up to 25 poundsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster cooperation and work in a collaborative team environment
Desired Previous Experience/Education1 year or more of experience in a similar roleAny experience as a server or line cook
