Kroger is excited to be in Florida and we are looking for great associates to join our team! Our Fulfillment Center (FC), located in Groveland, is a proud member of the nation-wide Kroger Family of Companies. The FC is a new concept for Kroger – where customer orders are picked daily by Fulfillment Center Associates and delivered to customer homes the following day in Kroger refrigerated vans by Delivery Drivers.
Due to our expansion, we are currently looking for someone to join our team as a Transportation Supervisor at our Fulfillment Network in Florida. This role will support our fulfillment center initiative through:
- Managing our Customer Service Delivery Drivers as a member of leadership
- Ensure fresh, friendly, and safe deliveries
- Coordinate dispatch times for delivery vans and troubleshoot issues as needed

Position Summary:
Responsible for supervising activities of drivers and yard associates completing their assigned daily tasks in the Transportation Department, in a safe, professional, productive manner. Role model and demonstrates the company's leadership model behaviors and the core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.
Essential Job Functions:
- Dispatch Drivers / Outside Carriers on outbound trips
- Receive and key-in completed load sheets, audit, update drivers pay per company policy, union contract
- Process, monitor and audit driver control information store requests for salvage picks, special delivery instructions
- Update equipment activity and yard control system. NAVIS
- Process, monitor and audit driver control information, DOT hours of service
- Handle all processing and reporting of yard safety or over-the-road incident
- Responsible for DOT testing as needed
- Monitor and meet all order accuracy requirements
- Conduct meetings with associates
- Assist in the training and development of department associates
- Communicate daily with fellow supervisors and managers on daily operational activities
- Manage and promote safety and sanitation in all areas
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Possess good phone etiquette
- Possess good public relations skills
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office business applications
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT), Department of Motor vehicle (DMV) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations
- Prior experience as a supervisor in a DOT driver environment
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Level 4 - 2 years of experience
- Level 5 - 10 years of experience, with multiple areas of responsibility
Desired Previous Job Experience
- 2 years supervisory experience
- 2 years working with DOT drivers hours of service regulations
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years of actual driver supervision, and/or dispatching
- Proficient with CAMS, (dispatch software), Peoplenet On Board Computers, Manugistics, Kroger's WIN system, (Warehouse Management System) Navis yard management system
Education Level: Bachelor's Desired
