Paralegal

Sacramento law firm seeks a paralegal with 3-5 years of eDiscovery experience to join its team performing specific legal work requiring knowledge of legal concepts and procedures. Candidate must be highly motivated, self-sufficient, and have a high level of dedication. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000, depending on experience.

Primary responsibilities include:

· Reviewing, organizing, and analyzing documents

· Performing legal research

· Handling a high volume of discovery documents

· Drafting basic legal documents, including subpoenas

· May perform other duties as appropriate

· Conduct Full Document Review of Client Documents (Responsive v Privileged)

· Management of document productions

· Deposition line summaries

· Trial preparation

Qualification Requirements:

· A minimum of 3-5 years of eDiscovery experience. More experience would be a plus

· Experience with relational databases

· Familiarity with EDRM practices

· Experience with reviewing, tagging and producing documents within an eDiscovery platform

· Experience in Labor and Employment law a plus

· Experience in case management

· Ability to work effectively with people, exercise sound judgment, establish and maintain professional relationships with attorneys and colleagues

· Ability to multi-task, problem solve and bring projects to completion

· Above-average competency in office technology and software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Pro and document management systems

· Compliance with CA's Business and Professions Code 6450

· Strong analytical, communication and writing skills required

· Ability to work as a team player and follow established practices and formats
