Description

The Rad Tech (CT), under the supervision of the Director of Medical Imaging, is primarily responsible for acting as an agent through observation and communication to obtain pertinent information for the physician to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient. The technologist practices technology founded upon theoretical knowledge and concepts, uses equipment and accessories consistent for which they were designed, and employs procedures and techniques appropriately. He or she is able to perform expected responsibilities of the position with knowledge and competence. 

Part time, 52 hours per pay period

Wk 1: Tues1500-2130, Thur 1500-2130, Fri 1500-2130, Sat 1500-2330

Wk 2: Sun 1500-2300, Mon 1500-2130, Tue 1500-2130, Thur 1500-2130

  • Graduate of an approved A.M.A. school of Radiological Technology.  
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
  • ARRT in Radiography and Computed Tomography. Current CPR with AED.
  • Two years of Radiography experience required.
  • Fully trained in CT required.
  • Willing to obtain CT advanced certification within 1 year of hire.

  3. Customer Service – Consistently provides competent care being efficient in tasks/resources. Focuses on improving results. Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to serving the customer as the most important part of the health care chain, providing prompt care and apologizing for delays.
  4. Privacy /Confidentiality – Has received training, knows and meets all job-relevant standards related to HIPAA and Security. Respects the privacy of patients and their families, coworkers, and KSB Hospital. Follows the policy for release of information.
  5. Safety – Has received training, know and meets all job relevant standards related to OSHA, Fire, Safety and Utilities, Security, Emergency Preparedness, etc. Complies with all safety policies using proper tools in order to provide a safe work environment. Wears ID Badge at all times. When lifting heavy items always use proper lifting techniques. Addresses Employee/Patient incidents promptly, identifies and mitigates risks, follows Hand Hygiene guidelines, medication reconciliation (if applicable), and ventilator use (if applicable) all in accordance with KSB policies.
  6. Teamwork – Works well with other members of his/her department to promote a team effort for the good of the department’s functions. Recognizes and rewards success.
  7. Required In-Services – all applicable required in-services have been completed for the evaluation year.
