Job purpose
Safely and effectively assist management of the production processes to ensure safety, quality, cost, and efficiency standards are achieved for both offsite projects and production at our distribution sites.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support the manager in the development and maintenance of annual business plans in conjunction with business needs and business policies
- Develop and improve upon the quality management system
- Manage production supervisors for the two distribution sites to ensure production and shipping is on schedule
- Oversee the implementation of new product and new accessory projects at two distribution centers
- Regularly audit the quality management system and its key components
- Create and report production status to the manufacturing support manager and upper management
- Implement production strategies to achieve targets for SEQDC
- Develop direct reports and team members
- Plan, manage, and implement offsite projects for Kubota products
- Support branch company projects as necessary * * This job includes travel time (up to 25%)
- Any additional tasks or projects as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or four years related experience and/or training
- Strong communication, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strategic annual business planning
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
- Ability to apply lean manufacturing principles and quality standards to production and quality management systems
- Team development and management
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and create solutions
- Strong Microsoft Office (Excel [Pivot Charts] Word, PowerPoint) skills
- Project management skills Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, statistics, engineering technology, or related fields (equivalent job experience)
- Knowledge of 5-gen or lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of Kubota products

While performing the duties of this job, the team member must have the ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions, uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; ascend stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. Also, the team member must occasionally lift 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
