Job purpose
To supervise the operation of a coating and waste water treatment facility on time and efficiently with assigned man, machine and material production processes.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provides a safe working environment and ensures all assigned personnel have proper safety equipment and tools for safe completion of assigned tasks.
- Supervises operational maintenance and analysis on all paint, pre-treatment and waste water treatment systems.
- Analyzes operational data to determine changes and improvements needed to accomplish objectives.
- Keeps administrative records. Generates reports for departmental reporting and government agencies as required.
- Track and plan financial budgets for enough funds to operate and maintain the coating and waste water treatment facility effectively.
- Supervise and control the attendance and hourly tracking of assigned manpower.
- Manage special projects outside of the normal daily production process.
- Manage and report operational efficiencies, key performance indicators (KPI) and down time.
- Provide guidance and leadership to all department personnel on shift.
- Investigate and understand process problems, forming root cause and countermeasures.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience in coating and/or waste water processes
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, holidays and weekend work
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret data, technical and operational manuals
- Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations
- Ability to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous Manufacturing Experience
- Engineering Degree
- Previous Supervisory Experience
- Graduation from 5-Gen NA Training
Working conditions
Ability to work in extreme heat and cold. Ability to work in a loud environment.
Physical requirements
Ability to stand/ be on your feet for long periods of time and walk throughout the shop floor. Ability to sit at a desk. Ability to use hands/ fingers. Ability to reach with arms. Ability to operate power and hand held tools, complete repetitive tasks.
