Area Sea Logistics LCL Manager

Your Role

You will be part of our Sea Logistics team, adding your leadership expertise and skills to the delivery of Customer and Operational Excellence. Your primary objective is to develop, implement and drive the local product, and business development strategy for our less than full container load product (LCL).

Your Responsibilities

• In collaboration with Branch management, provide leadership, and direction and monitor the Performance of the local Customer Care team and local Sea Logistics Field Sales, team.
• Partner with the Sea Logistics operations (OCC) and LCL Gateway team for an enhanced customer experience as related to LCL products.
• Maintaining regular local liaison with key NVOCCs / CFS contacts.
• Investigate, plan and implement transport methods that are strategical, effective, and relevant, and which optimally met the needs of the organization and its suppliers and customers.
• Pro-actively participate in customer visits/meetings as needed and in conjunction with local/Area sales personnel.
• Stay up-to-date with Market Knowledge & provide continuous updates to the team and manage monthly NBI reporting, as well as provide training and education to team members and collaborate with other supervisors/managers.

• Monitor traffic and keep Management informed of potential impacts on financial targets.
• Support for successful business implementation on an operational level to meet customer expectations including assisting with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Monitor vendors’ compliance with service standards and requirements as per contract terms.

Your Skills and Experiences

• Bachelor ‘s degree in supply chain or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in LCL freight forwarding with thorough knowledge and understanding of Sea Logistics product/environment with a focus on business development.
• Proficient in MS products / fully computer literate.
• Business Development Skills. Translate strategy into business development roadmaps, deploying resources efficiently whilst focusing on meeting target results.
• Is authentic, positive, honest, and with an open mindset. Team player and strategic mindset and ability to work in a diverse environment and culture.
• Financial understanding and knowledge.
• Position requires thorough, up-to-date and in-depth understanding of trade lanes in terms of geography and LCL Service offerings.
