Job Summary:
The General Manager will oversee the business and administrative aspects of the Automotive dealership. In addition to ensuring customers are satisfied, the General Manager must know how to run all aspects of an Automotive dealership.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains staff members
- Organizes and oversees employees’ work and schedules.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees all aspects of the team providing customer service.
- Notifies customers of repair costs or insurance settlement.
- Oversees inventory for the dealership.
- Schedules staff in accordance with the auto dealership needs.
- Communicates with customers throughout repair process.
- Creates invoices for completed work.
- Ensures payments are made by customer or insurance company.
- Performs other related duties as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive operations.
- Ability to read work orders submitted by insurance adjusters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Five years of experience in Automotive industry.
