Introduction To The Role

Kwantx is a financial technology company launching our product February 1 and hiring our sales team. We provide 'free money' tax refunds to restaurant owners (it takes the owner 40 weeks to receive the money but aside from the waiting time there is no downside for them). We charge the clients three possible fees, with a mix of up-front fee and success-fee (which is a percent of the amount they receive). Our average beta client has received $50,000 (varies from $25,000 - $100,000 typically). In order to succeed in this role you will need to understand small business financial products (such as paycheck protection loan, what a tax credit is, and how restaurants pay employee wages). We'll train you on this before and during the position following a similar approach as used in the investment advisory business, having required sales milestones each month.

Who We're Hiring

Kwantx is seeking a sales go-getter capable and willing to communicate with restaurant owners in their location geographic region. Kwantx has developed a software that allows these restaurant owners to receive $30,000 - $50,000 as a tax refund check (similar to the stimulus checks previously received by individuals; exact amount varies based on the number of employees at the restaurant and their wages).

This sales go-getter will be provided a 2 week training beginning on January 18th where they will learn the ins and outs of this tax credit offering (including terms such as the paycheck protection program, theoretical sales approaches such as challenger vs relationship building, and dialogues on cold-calls and emails).

In this 100% commission role you will be provided a list of 50 restaurants in the city and reach out with them to use Kwantx software. It only takes the restaurant owners 5 minutes to complete the tax credit application and thus the largest hurdle is to build their trust and explain the reason that Kwantx finds tax credits their accountant missed.

How You'll Be Paid

  • For each restaurant that applies for the tax credit you will receive 50% of the up-front payment as well as 50% of the success-only payment
  • The restaurants are offered 3 pricing plans and the sales representative can selectively offer specific pricing: $1,200 upfront with 8% success-fee; $600 up-front with 12% success-fee; or $0 upfront with 20% success-fee.
  • The success fee takes up to 40 weeks to receive but is often substantially larger amount of money (for example: 20% of $50,000 is $10,000 -- which the sales rep receives half of).

The Client's Benefit

The average restaurant in Kwantx' network of clients qualifies for approximately $40,000 in credits, which the business receives as a refund check sent to the owner 9 months after initial application. The tax credit is called Employee Retention Tax Credit, and restaurants qualify due to covid-19 restrictions experienced in 2020 and 2021 that limited their indoor dining. The application window is open till approximately January 2024, and thus this position's maximum duration is 2 years.

The Skills I Need To Be A Qualified Applicant

  • Interpersonal communication skills. Prior experience in a commission sales role is required.
  • Required: knowledge of covid-19 financial programs including the paycheck protection program, restaurant revitalization program, and employee retention tax credits.
  • Willingness to make a high volume of cold-calls, in-person meetings, and email communications.
  • The role is goal oriented and the hired sales representative must meet certain targets such as: 2 clients onboarded by month 1, 5 month 2, and exponentially growing from there.
  • The position will begin on January 31, 2022 with a 2 week training program beginning on January 17th.

Logistics

This role is the geographic region you are applying in. Though Kwantx is headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, the sales rep will work remotely in the advertising location, beginning with a list of 50 targeted restaurants and expanding to 150.
