The Enterprise Risk Department is responsible for supporting our 800 retail locations in the area of asset management and loss prevention. We are looking for a highly motivated, hard-working and change orientated person who is wanting to start their career path by joining our team.
As the Claims Supervisor, you will be responsible to prioritize and distribute claims to the Risk Management Team, serving as a back up with the collection of data from stores and customers to report to the insurance company for claims handling as well as handle any high-level incidents that require your involvement for resolution.
Primary responsibilities include:
Supervise Risk Management coworkers on the day to day operations of the department, including training, assigning work as the claims warrant and providing ongoing feedback on performance
Serve as the primary point of contact for any questions on the claims software and assist the software company with the design of the claims intake and reports
Initiate contact with claimants on guest injury claims
Analyze required information to distribute to insurance company for handling of claims and assist with the investigation of claims
Process, coordinate and review Kwik Trip and Supplier Product Complaints
Qualifications:
The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality is a must
Associate’s degree in a related field of study
Two or more years of relevant post-high school education or equivalent amount of direct work-related experience
Supervisory experience
Past work in the insurance industry, preferably claims handling
Working knowledge of legal statutes and procedures
Strong communication skills
Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Knowledge of AS400 is a plus
Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a high stress work environment
Ability to work independently with little supervision and make sound liability decisions
Ability to speak with customers and coworkers to resolve issues
Work Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
