What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meat/Seafood Department Manager position at Kwong Yet Lung (KYL)?

Hello! Do you love working with food and working with others? Do you like managing a team to work efficiently and stay organized?

We are hiring a manager to lead our meat and seafood team of cutters and food manufacturing workers to perform various cuts and production of seafood and meat items, packing products, and assembling cases. Individuals must be familiar with and practice safe food handling procedures.

Please feel free to walk-in and apply in person, 9 AM - 5 PM (Monday - Friday), at 5000 S, Decatur Blvd. Las Vegas, NV, 89118, at the back of the building, office is local to the right of the loading dock. Duties include:

  • receiving and unloading incoming shipments
  • pricing the product and stocking cases to ensure quality, protection, accuracy and proper rotation of product in the cases and cooler
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment to insure compliance with all safety and sanitation requirements as set forth by the company and mandated by state, federal, and OSHA regulations
  • Cut, tray, and package all of the required meat and seafood products required for the day
  • Must be able to lift/carry products between 25 to 90 lbs
  • Must be able to use a pallet jack
  • Must be able to work inside a temperature controlled area
  • Good vision is required for using sharp knives, band saw, grinder, box cutter, wrapping machine and other industrial and commercial machines

English required. Spanish, Chinese, additional languages preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour

  • Food Production: 1 year (Required)
