Information Technology Manager
L.A. Burdick Chocolates, celebrated for its exquisite artisanal chocolates, beverages, and pastries, is seeking an experienced IT Manager working in our Walpole, NH business office.
This role is responsible for managing, supporting, and maintaining the company's IT hardware and software network for all L.A. Burdick locations. As well as planning, coordinating, and implementing network security measures. Additionally, this role will develop the IT strategic direction for the next three to five years.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations on-site and remotely.
- Maintain, administer, configure NetSuite ERP and ecommerce environment.
- Administration of Microsoft 365 accounts.
- Knowledge of database design and theory. Familiarity with building and running database queries, reports, and dashboards for administration, manufacturing, and retail locations.
- Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components.
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Maintain data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
- Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems.
- Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
- Point of Sale software, including upgrades (when required), security, troubleshooting, and procedures. This also includes maintaining the database of items/prices at all store locations. Maintain hardware including terminals, printers, power supplies, and back-office computers and network.
- Maintain various application software such as: MS Office, assist with Paylocity, remote access software, along with hardware/software contracts, etc.
- Aid in maintaining the VOIP phone system at all store/office/manufacturing locations.
- Maintain security camera systems. Review footage when necessary.
- Overall system administrative tasks including security, account set up and deletion, and system log review.
- Maintain, improve, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain system documentation on IT processes and procedures.
Skills and requirements:
- Bachelor or Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field, or at least 7 to 10 years of equivalent experience in a retail and manufacturing environment.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Detail Oriented
- Manufacturing ERP software administration implementations.
- Proficient project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
- Experience handling contract negotiations.
- Database query, report, and dashboard design experience a plus.
- Retail POS administration and implementation experience.
- PCI-DSS compliance experience a plus.
- Oracle/NetSuite experience a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and other relevant user applications. Experience with Excel macros a plus.
- Microsoft 365 experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to work off hours and weekends when necessary.
