Job Summary

L'Auberge de Sedona is a Forbes 4 Star Resort located on the banks of Oak Creek in the majestic Red Rock country of Sedona, AZ.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for the accounts payable/accounts receivable functions at the hotel as applicable; ensuring invoices are received and/or processed on a timely basis responsible for handling all the hotel deposits in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality Standards.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • GED or high school diploma required
  • An Associates degree or equivalent preferred
  • Be able to work independently within established procedures
  • 1-3 yrs of relevant experience required
  • Strong computer skills a must; proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Reading comprehension skills to read and interpret financial documents
  • General knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures
  • Strong comfortability in an office environment
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately

Responsibilities

  • Assist in month end reporting procedures
  • Performs a range of routine accounting activities such as
  • Data entry
  • Maintenance of the general ledger
  • Preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports
  • Apply accounting principles, regulations and policies to all work duties
  • Reviews, codes and verifies transactions and journal entries
  • Researches and resolves issues
  • Completes simple and complex calculations using spreadsheets
  • Assists with trial balances
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Has a strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Processing of sales group accounts
  • Any duties assigned by management.
