What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Team Lead (Meat & Seafood) position at L'OCA?
Job Description
Calling all meat mavens and chop champions!
We're on the hunt for a Meat & Seafood Assistant Team Lead who can bring the sizzle to our meat and seafood departments. If you can turn a cow into a culinary masterpiece with a single swipe of your trusty cleaver, then we want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
- Carving up cows, pigs, and chickens with surgical precision
- Training new butchers to become meat wizards (or at least, competent apprentices)
- Tasting all the meats to ensure quality control (we mean, someone has to do it, right?)
- Keeping our meat case organized and looking fabulous (no one likes a messy butcher shop)
- Being a team player and helping out wherever needed (no task is too big or small, except maybe cleaning the meat grinder)
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of meat cutting experience with at least 6 month of supervisory experience
- A love for all things meat (yes, even liver)
- A sense of humor (because working in a meat department can be pretty punny)
- A commitment to food safety and sanitation (no one wants a trip to the hospital for food poisoning)
What’s in it for you:
- Working with the top culinary, business, and grocery talent in Canada
- Huge opportunity for growth across all business units and to the executive team for expansion
- A commitment to food safety and sanitation (no one wants a trip to the hospital for food poisoning)
So, if you're ready to join a team of meat-loving misfits and help us create the finest cuts of meat this side of the slaughterhouse, apply today! And don't forget to bring your cleaver."
