Summary:
The Director of People Analytics will oversee and provide guidance to a team of HR Reporting Specialists. The team will leverage their experience with Power Query and Power BI to gather and transform data from various sources and create interactive dashboards that provide actionable insights. The leader will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, negotiate delivery of data, analysis and visuals based on customer requests. This leader will collaborate and direct the team that designs scalable solutions that support data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with IT teams and other HR functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have leadership experience and prior experience supporting various levels of the organization; support the team with a balance of creativity, data security compliance, and ability to balance priorities and deliver against negotiated deadlines.
Expected Deliverables of the Team:
- Collect and analyze data from various sources to support business decision-making
- Use Power Query to transform and clean data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Develop and maintain data models using Power BI to support reporting needs
- Design and develop interactive dashboards to effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders
- Identify trends and patterns in data to support business objectives
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather data requirements and ensure accuracy of data
- Ensure data quality and accuracy by conducting regular audits and identifying and resolving data discrepancies
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve business processes and operations
- Develop and maintain documentation related to data models, reports, and dashboards
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies related to data reporting and analytics
Key Responsibilities of the Leader:
- Utilize performance metrics to ensure excellence in service delivery to stakeholders
- Provide guidance to team members, enable professional development using both internal and external resources
- Create environment of continuous improvement
- Support and deliver data and analysis for multiple cyclical data events, such as employee surveys, compliance reporting, talent, payroll, and other employee lifecycle transactions
- Create/convey/adhere to data governance procedures
- Develop and maintain dashboards to illustrate data, provide insights to HRBP, HR Leaders, etc
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Team leadership experience, preferably involving Reporting and Analysis
- Previous use of data from sources including SAP, SuccessFactors. Kronos
- Experience working with data used within Human Resources including time and payroll data, talent and employee demographics, and employee surveys
- 3 years of experience in data reporting and analysis
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with project management; balancing critical priorities
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and methodologies
- Experience with ETL tools and processes, Power Query, and Power BI is a plus
- Experience leading stakeholder discussions to identify reporting needs, negotiate delivery of data and balance multiple priorities with business partners
